I thought this could be quite good, share some clips and favourite scenes from The Simpsons and we can have a good discussion in regards to the clips and what we think etc... and see if we can keep this thread going. I'll start with three here. The first one I will start with is Steamed Hams. I absolutely love this clip how Skinner is just trying to constantly get out of it all the time, I think he lies about 12 times in this clip lol. Superintendent Chalmers is a good character for Skinner as he really enhances his character in scenes such as this, from the episode '22 short films about Springfield' from season 7, episode 21. Jacques - I honestly think this is an underrated episode as it doesn't really get mentioned as much as it should really, the chemistry between Jacques and Marge is so good, specially in this clip here where it pretty much cements Jacques character and his intent with Marge. From the episode 'Life on the fast lane' from season 1, episode 9. Shock Therapy - I just love this scene, I actually quite like Dr Marvin Monroe and this scene for me also really cements how dysfunctional The Simpsons can be as I think this kinda showcased that here. I know people have either a love/hate thing with the animation of the first season but for me I really like it as it feels authentic and raw and there's something really special about it, from the episode 'There's no disgrace like home' from season 1, episode 4. So what do you think to these scenes and what are your favourite clips you would like to share? Please give some thoughts on each clip that people post and then post some clips of your own which we can then give our thoughts to those clips also and see if we can keep the thread going for a bit However, enjoy

There are too many to choose for me, but I'd have to say this is one of them:
I like the way it shows so many of the characters in such a brief moment. I also loved the scene during "And Maggie Makes Three" when Homer uses Burns' ominous "don't forget, you're here forever sign" and covers it in Maggie photos so that it instead says "do it for her":

He yeah that one where they're leaving haha. I like how it shows all the characters in that and it even makes you feel like saying 'Bye Dr Nick' when Dr Nick Riviera does his bit lol
The second clip is good too, really highlights the relationship of Mr Burns with his employees too lol Homer getting confused over the sex of the baby lol
A couple more I like, what do you think to these?
I think this scene is really good too because it shows the bond between Bart and Homer, for so long haha

You're right, it definitely shows the dysfunctional bond between Bart and Homer. Also I can't seem to find a clip of it, but the ending of "Bart vs. Thanksgiving" where Bart and Lisa apologize to each other and discuss why they do the things they do is one of my favourites, and the courtroom scene in "The Day the Violence Died".

I forget what the episode is called but I'm sure you know which I mean?

Yeah he was, Lisa's idol too so it kinda gave her something in regards to her Sax playing also, they really fill up the characters really. Here's another good clip ha

Ralph Wiggum's expression in the adult TV scene always makes me laugh. I also loved all the scenes with Arnie Pye and Kent's arguments, like these ones: and the scene with Al Gore listening to the "Celebrate Good Times" song:

The "Amanda Huggenkiss" one reminded me of this, the "Hugh Jass" one where Bart's prank call backfires".
I also like these ones:

Those are some great scenes, I forgot about the zinc one haha. I think this is a classic for most people lol
Also, I don't know how long this will last but people on Youtube keep making a live Simpsons channel.

I love the gorge clip, it really displays how much Homer, though not the brightest guy in the world, still cares about his kids. As for the Live Simpsons channel, Fox is a stickler for removing content for copyright infringement, but I'm not sure how much control they've got over a live streaming channel. My guess is that somebody will eventually report it, but it could be weeks, if not months, before something like that happens. Personally I think Fox should set up their own streaming website of "free" TV episodes, because they'd be free for the public, but Fox could earn a lot of money if they monetized the site by how many clicks it got. A lot of indie filmmakers here in Canada do that, and they make a profit by how many people visit their website vs. how many people pay to watch the film.

Yeah, I think the voices are weird on there too to avoid being picked up by the system, they've also put that link as a private link so it doesn't come up in the search now but I do think it'd be a good idea what you said about Fox doing the live stream. They'd make loads of sponsorships too as I'm sure people wouldn't mind commercials and same with monetizing it too like you mentioned. Will link some more clips later too but do you have any more that come to mind for you

That public service announcement is brilliant. There are quite a few little Simpsons shorts like ads and whatnot. They have a list of them on The Simpsons wiki I think
